American Express OPEN and NYC SBS present NYC Teaming: Joint Venture Workshop

In the government contracting arena, there is often strength in numbers. For small business owners seeking contracting opportunities, teaming with other businesses can be a lucrative growth strategy. However, an American Express OPEN survey found just over one-quarter (27%) of active small business contractors have generated income from teaming.

To help encourage teaming amongst small businesses, American Express OPEN and the New York City Department of Small Business Services (SBS) are hosting the NYC Teaming Joint Venture Workshop on Wednesday, April 9 from 9 AM to 11 AM at the NYC SBS headquarters. The session is the first of six events this year that will explore teaming through a series of workshops and insight from experienced contractors.

Topics to be covered include:

• Understanding teaming arrangements types
• Identifying pre-teaming evaluation factors
• Leveraging templates and tools to facilitate teaming relationships
• Maximizing online and offline networking opportunities
