American Express OPEN for Government Contracting: Summit for Success
Deltek predicts government agencies will spend about $471 billion this September, making Q4 one of the busiest times of the year for the federal government as agencies work diligently to spend their remaining funding before the fiscal year ends on September 30th. For small business owners, this provides a great opportunity to market their goods and services to the government and secure a contract before year’s end.
On Tuesday, August 11th, American Express OPEN will facilitate dozens of one-on-one meetings between small business owners and government buyers at its annual OPEN for Government Contracting: Summit for Successevent. The meetings – known as Contract Connections – provide attendees valuable face-time with government buyers and large prime contractors during which they can learn about existing contracting opportunities. In addition, the Summit for Success will cover a variety of government contracting topics for businesses of all experience levels through sessions led by government officials and successful small business contractors.
The American Express OPEN for Government Contracting: Summit for Success is designed to educate small business owners on the benefits of selling to the government. The free full day program will cover a variety of government contracting topics for businesses at all levels of contract readiness and provides attendees with resources and step-by-step instructions to secure government contracts. The event provides direct access to government buyers and procurement officials and creates networking opportunities with other attending small business owners.
During online registration, business owners can sign up to participate in Contract Connections – one-on-one meetings with procurement officials, government buyers and large prime contractors – to pitch their goods and services during the busy Q4 government spending period. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis and is expected to fill up.
