Time to Change Your Licenses
Export Control Reform (ECR) Transition is coming to an end for certain categories, so it is critical to ensure that you have appropriate EAR licenses in place for items that have transitioned as part of ECR, or that you have updated your ITAR authorizations to specifically incorporate licensing for EAR items under that authorization.
This webinar will review the transition timelines, walk through EAR licensing requirements, and cover the situations in which EAR items are permitted to be licensed under ITAR authorizations (and how to accomplish that).
Agenda:
-
ECR Transition timetable: when do my categories complete transition?
-
What does this mean in terms of submission times and advance planning?
-
What happens if you do not update your authorization in time?
-
Which ITAR authorizations must change to EAR authorizations?
-
Which can stay ITAR, but must be modified?
-
Tips for BIS licensing: what is different from ITAR authorizations?
This webinar will provide PowerPoint slides and include live video and commentary from Susan Kovarovics and Megan Gajewsk, who counsel foreign and domestic parties regarding international business regulatory matters. Webinar participants are invited to submit questions during the webinar; the final 30 minutes of the webinar will be allotted to answering attendees' questions.
