ACT-IAC Small Business Alliance Straight Talk featuring Dawud Shillingford and Bruce Claybrook, SEC

Join the ACT-IAC Small Business Alliance on Wednesday, March 17th at The Westin Tysons Corner for Straight Talk featuring Dawud "D.K." Shillingford, Team Lead Contracting Officer at the SEC and Bruce Claybrook Senior Contract Business Manager at SEC.  

Mr.  Shillingford currently serves as an IT Team Lead/Contracting Officer for the Securities and Exchange Commission.  Dawud is a contracting professional with 25+ years of progressive and diverse experience in Government Contracting.  Mr.  Shillingford has extensive use and knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation and agency supplements.  As a former Contracting Officer for the United States Air Force he has displayed effective leadership, communication and organizational skills which now serve him well at SEC.  

Mr. Claybrook currently works at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Office of Information Technology in the Project & Contracts Oversight branch.  He is an experienced senior contract business manager with federal, domestic and international contract management experience.  He has extensive experience in program and project management, financial management, sourcing management and establishing and maintaining governance programs. Mr.  Claybrook is a thought leader in developing and delivering creative and innovative yet practical contract solutions.

During this interactive session, both Mr. Shillingford and Mr. Claybrook will discuss the importance of Small Businesses to the SEC, upcoming opportunities for Small Businesses and suggest steps small businesses can take to succeed at SEC. 

This event is open to members and non-members.  Registration is $45 for IAC members, $90 for non-members and free to government.
