Trade-Offs: Defense Budget Under President Trump
The Trump Administration has landed in Washington and the U.S. defense industry is generally enthusiastic about prospects for increased spending. The costs of President-elect Donald Trump’s proposed force structure increases have been estimated at around $16 billion a year, significantly more than the Pentagon’s current plan.
The administration will have to choose between competing priorities—nukes vs. conventional arms, terrorists vs. states, bigger vs. better—and how these competitions play out will determine which contractors benefit the most.
Join Bloomberg Government’s Rob Levinson and Cameron Leuthy to review trade-offs to anticipate during Trump’s first 100 days in office.
