Red Hat Coffee Hour with Samaira Mehta



The Red Hat® Coffee Hour series is a videocast featuring luminaries from technology, society and the world of STEM. Topics for discussion will include governmental and societal impacts of technology, open source in Sci/Tech/Med., as well as the role of technology and work/life balance.

 

Samaira Mehta is one of the world’s youngest tech innovators and is forging a path for girls and women to follow. Using the board game she invented, “CoderBunnyz” Samaira has taught over 10,000 kids to code. Her organization Girl2Code brought attention from Google, Microsoft and Michelle Obama! Adam and Samaira will talk about her mission to bring coding to kids with her STEM initiative ‘Yes, One Billion Kids Can Code”, as well as re-setting the stereotypes for girls in our society - championing math, technology, engineering and science.
