October White House-GSA Webinar Series to Accelerate Federal Supplier Decarbonization
The General Services Administration (GSA), in partnership with the White House Council on Environmental Quality, is launching an October webinar series designed to empower federal suppliers of goods and services with information on existing federal resources and tools to help achieve their organization’s climate and sustainability objectives.
The Supplier Accelerator webinar series will emphasize opportunities created by the Biden-Harris Administration’s Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and will also feature speakers from the Department of Energy, Treasury Department, and Environmental Protection Agency. The series is targeted for sustainability, procurement and operations leaders and will take place at 12:00 PM ET/9:00 AM PT on October 16, October 23, and October 30:
Oct. 16: Federal Climate and Energy Programs for the Private Sector: This webinar will provide a general introduction to U.S. government resources, technical assistance, tools, and programs available to help contractors advance their work on decarbonization and sustainability.
Oct. 23: Programs and Tax Credits for On-Site Renewable Energy, Efficient Buildings, and Clean Vehicles: This webinar will provide detailed information on federal resources and incentives (e.g., IRA tax credits) to support clean energy investments and infrastructure that can help organizations reduce their Scope 1 emissions.
Oct. 30: Buying Carbon Pollution-Free Electricity More Rapidly and Effectively: This webinar will provide detailed information on federal resources available to help suppliers purchase carbon pollution-free electricity more rapidly and efficiently in order to tackle Scope 2 emissions.
