What You Need to Know About New Attacks and Exploits on Failed Key and Certificate Management
For the first time, the Ponemon Institute has quantified the staggering costs of malicious attacks and criminal exploits on failed key and certificate management. Consensus from the RSA Conference 2013 was that PKI (public key infrastructure) is under attack and criminals are threatening our reliance on keys and certificates to establish trust in our infrastructure, data, cloud services, and mobile devices.
The first installment in a series of new research, 2013 Annual Cost of Failed Trust: Threats and Attacks Report, revealed that all global organizations are under attack and every enterprise risks exposure to losses of up to $400 million. This new research also uncovered that although enterprises have thousands more keys and certificates than expected, most organizations don’t know where these are used. This evidence, combined with the alarming attacks on SSH, threaten the future of cloud computing.
Join Gary Moore, Chief Architect, Global Governments of Venafi, to get the latest insights on these new threats and the very real impact they’re having on business and government worldwide. Attendees of this webcast will also hear about the five important facts learned from the 2013 Annual Cost of Failed Trust research.
