AOC Virtual Series: The NATO Response Force (NRF) and the Future of Joint EW/SIGINT C2

The challenges that NATO faces today are far different from those of the Cold War. As demonstrated by recent NATO operations in Afghanistan and Libya (and going back to Kosovo), the future NATO operation is more likely to be based on the concept of a purpose-built Joint Task Force vs. a large standing force structure. Likewise, the future NATO adversary is more likely to be an asymmetric, geographically isolated one composed of highly mobile targets vs. a broad strategic frontier of fixed targets. As a result, NATO must be able to exercise flexible C2 of all Joint ISR and EW assets-regardless of nation or echelon.
